Meet Tamar

Feminist art therapist

Hi, my name is Tamar Donagi. I am 49 years old, an Israeli woman, an artist, a mother of three teenagers, a wife, a sister and a daughter.

I have worked in both arts communities and mental health for almost 20 years. . During I have been teaching art & specializing in feminist art therapy.

Today, as well as treating women in my studio, I guide woman caregivers of all fields how to obtain personal and professional well- being and self-caring. working with the Present And Grounded card deck, I invite them on a  personal journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

My own experience taught me that life-long healing happens gradually demanding compassion and acceptance. While we regain back the confidence truthiness in our unique self.

“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water, so much you almost cannot bear it that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype

Dear Tamar, This journey we started together has been a life changing experience. Today after three years of weekly therapy sessions, I feel more confident and less scared. Thank you for being there for me, for believing in me. Thank you for the confidence you have given me to go my own special way. You taught me to say no, to set  down my barriers, to value my existence and value in the world. You were a milestone in my journey towards freedom within.

Dear Tamar Words are not enough to describe the time we spent together. I want to thank you for every moment. You knew how to listen to me. Our meetings helped me not to give up on myself and re-learn how to dream, go out and achieve. Your good eyes soothed the frightened little girl inside me and allowed her to grow stronger and submit worthy and loved again. Thanks for a life-changing process. You will always have a corner in my heart
